Free Christmas Opera, "Amahl and the Night Visitors" at Georgia State

Hello friends,

Those of you who went to Opera On Tap will appreciate Amahl and the Night Visitors, an opera that captures the spirit of Christmas.

There are many performances of it, which delights me - that way, almost all of you will get a chance to see it (and hopefully share it with family and friends.)

I am currently looking for other holiday events with diversity in mind - if your family, group of friends, or religion is celebrating a different holiday through the arts, please let me know so I help get the word out!

Opera on Tap - pros sing what they want for us, free. December 11

Many thanks to my friend Jeanne for news of this event!

Opera on Tap is hosting an anti-Christmas music night at Pizzeria Venti for free. Professional opera singers come out and sing their favorite songs, just for fun. Although the music is classical, the attitude is outrageous. Yes, Viking hats do happen.

I admit without hanging my head that I love Christmas music, but I will be there to enjoy the other classics.
